Violation reported in city water serving some PM schools

Penn Manor School District has received notice that water provided by the Lancaster City water system has violated a drinking water standard for disinfection byproducts. The water is safe and does not pose an immediate risk, according to the city of Lancaster.

The issue affects students and staff served by city water at these schools: Penn Manor High School, Manor Middle School and Eshleman, Pequea and Hambright Elementary Schools. The other Penn Manor schools are either served by well water or the Columbia water system and are not affected by this notice.
